SengSo 4x4 Mirror is a 4x4 mirror cube from ShengShou that you solve by the shape of the pieces, not by colour. It has no magnets, measures 67 mm, weighs approx. 133 g and is available in Golden and Silver versions.
SengSo 4x4 Mirror is a 4x4 mirror cube from ShengShou where shape matters, not colour. All pieces have the same metallic finish, and when solved the cube forms a regular cube shape. Once scrambled, it turns into a block made of pieces of different thicknesses. ShengShou released it in 2024. Before that, a 4x4 mirror was a rarity and usually had to be 3D printed or modded from a regular 4x4. The cube is available in two colour versions: Golden and Silver.
Mechanically, it is still a 4x4. The same steps apply (centers, edge pairing, solving it like a 3x3), and so do the same parities. However, you have to recognise every piece by its dimensions. Some pieces differ clearly, others only slightly, and the latter cause the most trouble. The centers take the most thinking, because on a regular 4x4 you pick them by colour, while here you go by shape. Many people solve the first-layer corners first, as this makes it easier to check whether the centers and edges have ended up in the right place. Edge pairing itself usually turns out to be easier than it seems at first.
This cube has no magnets and is designed for fun and figuring things out rather than speedsolving. Users praise its smooth turning, especially after lubing. Corner cutting, on the other hand, is limited, and with mirror shapes lockups can happen if the layers are not precisely aligned before a turn. You need to turn more calmly and keep the layers aligned. That is normal for a puzzle with uneven pieces.
For someone who can already solve a 4x4 and is looking for a new challenge. It also suits anyone who knows the 3x3 mirror and wants to try a bigger version. Without knowing a 4x4 method, it will be hard to get started, so for a child's first puzzle a 3x3 mirror is a better choice. It also looks great on a shelf as part of a collection.

Polecam
Fajna rozrywka
Kostka była trochę luźna, pomogło dokręcenie wszystkich śrubek o 1/4 obrotu. Do ustalenia właściwego położenia centrów względem siebie można użyć narożników. Poza tym to jest normalna kostka 4x4x4.
