A magnetic 15x15 cube from the MoSheng series by ShengShou. At just 97 mm, it is noticeably smaller and lighter than classic 15x15 cubes. It has magnets in the pieces that help keep all 15 layers aligned, plus a matte surface in a stickerless bright colour scheme.

This is the magnetic version of the 15x15 cube from the MoSheng series by ShengShou (Sengso brand). With this many layers, the first thing you notice is the size. The SengSo MoSheng 15x15 Magnetic measures just 97 mm, while the older ShengShou 15x15 from outside the MoSheng series is about 120 mm and weighs over 900 g. This version has magnets in the pieces, a matte (frosted) surface and a stickerless bright colour scheme.
On a cube with 15 layers, it is very easy for layers to shift slightly out of place. On big cubes, these small misalignments are the most common cause of lockups when turning a whole face. The magnets help the layers snap into place and give a clear "click" after every move. This makes it easier to keep the cube aligned during long solves that can take hours. Distributors describe the turning as light and smooth. However, there are few independent reviews of this model so far, so treat this as a preliminary assessment.
The small size also has a downside. 97 mm is shared by 15 layers, so each one is about 6.5 mm wide. Turning the inner slices requires a precise grip and a steady pace. If you have large hands, you may need a moment to get used to it. On the other hand, the cube is much lighter and more comfortable to hold than classic 15x15 cubes measuring 110–120 mm. Like most big cubes, the MoSheng 15x15 can benefit from breaking in and lubing.
The MoSheng 15x15 is also available in a non-magnetic version. The Magnetic version is slightly heavier, but gives a more noticeable snap when layers align and more stable behaviour during longer sequences. The non-magnetic version is a better choice if you prefer a looser feel or are buying the cube mainly for your collection.
For cubers who have already solved 6x6 and 7x7 cubes and want a bigger challenge. You solve it with the same reduction method; it just takes much longer. It is also a great fit for big cube collectors who want a 15x15 in a handy size. We do not recommend it as a first cube or as a gift for a child who is just starting out.
