SengSo Skewb, also known as the ShengShou Skewb V2, is a non-magnetic stickerless skewb measuring 56 mm. Ball-bearing positioning keeps the pieces in place, tension is adjusted with screws, and the matte surface grips well in your fingers. It's a simple model for learning the skewb that you can also use in official competitions.
SengSo Skewb is the second version of the ShengShou skewb, also known as the ShengShou Skewb V2. It's a simple, non-magnetic puzzle measuring 56 mm, in the stickerless bright version. The colors are built into the plastic, so there are no stickers to wear off or peel. This skewb is a sensible choice as your first model for learning this puzzle and for finding out whether the Skewb event really draws you in.
The internals are very simple. There are no magnets inside; the pieces settle into place thanks to ball-bearing positioning. This gives a noticeable, fairly tactile "click" when a move finishes. The skewb is ready to solve straight out of the box. The surface has a matte (frosted) finish, so it grips well in your fingers and doesn't pick up as many fingerprints as glossy plastic.
To be honest, though, by today's standards the turning is rather average. Current speedcubing skewbs are usually magnetic, and some of them also feature MagLev. Compared with such models, the SengSo Skewb is less precise and noticeably slower at high TPS.
Tension is set with screws. This lets you tighten the skewb a little if it feels too loose, or loosen it when it turns too heavily. With cube lube it will usually turn more smoothly.
For someone who is just learning the skewb, and for parents looking for an affordable puzzle for their child. It also works well as another puzzle in the collection of someone who mainly solves 3x3. The model is allowed in official competitions, so you can compete with it in the Skewb event. However, if you want to train for times, it's better to go straight for a magnetic skewb.
