SengSo YuFeng 2x2x2 is a magnetic 2x2 cube from ShengShou's YuFeng series. The brand also goes by the name SengSo, and some shops list this model as the YuFeng 2x2 M. The cube was released in 2023 and is one of the more affordable magnetic 2x2s. It measures 49.5 mm, weighs about 63 g and comes in a stickerless bright version with matte plastic.

How it turns

The magnets define the character of this cube. The manufacturer and distributors stress that they are exceptionally strong, and reviewers confirm that their strength dominates the overall feel. The layers clearly snap into place on their own, so the cube aligns easily even when your turning is imprecise, and reverse corner cutting is no problem. Corner cutting is weaker. The cube handles up to about 45 degrees, but beyond that it usually won't cut. Some users also report lockups.

The sound is also worth mentioning. The YuFeng 2x2 is loud, and its high-pitched, plasticky sound will simply feel cheap to some people. Out of the box it feels smooth, although the mechanism is rather tight. The cube performs noticeably better after lubing.

Tension adjustment

The set includes a screwdriver plus spare springs and screws. Tension is adjusted the classic way, with screws in the core. There is no system for adjusting it without taking the cube apart.
