Shengshou Pyraminx Legend

ShengShou Pyraminx Legend

ShengShou Pyraminx Legend is part of Legend, ShengShou's budget series. This non-magnetic pyramid puzzle is for anyone who wants a Pyraminx that works well without spending money on a flagship model. Compared to the basic ShengShou Pyraminx, it has an improved design. We offer two body colors: black (Black) and white (White).

How it turns

According to user reviews, the Legend's pieces clearly "snap" into place after each turn. If you are just learning the Pyraminx, this is a big help, because layers are left misaligned less often. The puzzle has no magnets, so it does not settle into position by itself the way magnetic models do. You feel the end of a move only through the mechanism. As with most inexpensive pyramid puzzles, a new one may turn a little stiffer and louder. A bit of lube and a few days of solving usually help.

Tension is set with adjustment screws. You can loosen the puzzle so it turns faster and lighter, or tighten it to make it more stable.

Other Legend Pyraminx versions

In the Legend series, ShengShou has also released a Metallic version with a shiny, metallic finish and a magnetic Metallic version. There is also the newer, noticeably lighter Legend S2. This product is the classic Legend Pyraminx, without magnets and with a colored body.

Who is it for?

As a first Pyraminx, for a child, or as an affordable puzzle for learning and casual solving. It meets official competition requirements, so you can use it in the Pyraminx event. If you train regularly and chase faster times, you will probably soon start looking for a higher-end magnetic Pyraminx that gives you more control at high TPS.
