Single Speed Stacks Cup

This Speed Stacks cup is sold individually, not as a set. It comes in handy when one cup from your set goes missing or cracks. Instead of buying a new set of 12 cups, you replace only the missing piece and keep training with your own equipment. Speed Stacks is the official equipment of the WSSA (World Sport Stacking Association), the organization that runs sport stacking competitions.

How a speed stacking cup is built

A sport stacking cup looks similar to an ordinary cup, but it is designed for quickly building and taking down pyramids. Inside, it has ribs that keep nested cups from jamming, so they separate easily. The inner walls are smooth, so the cups slide well over each other. The outer surface is lightly textured, so the cup sits more securely in your hand. Standard cups have holes in the bottom that let air escape, so the cups don't stick together during a fast upstack and downstack.

Versions and colors

The cup is available in several colors and patterns, including Really Red, Royal Purple, Blue, Neon Orange, Neon Pink, Neon Green, Neon Yellow, Zippy Leopard, Tangle and Blue Art. You choose the variant from the list on the product page.

Separately, there are cups from the Pro Series 2x (PS2x) line in Clear and Ice Blue. The PS2x series is designed for competitors: the cups have a centerless bottom to reduce air resistance, and the print is only on the top tier. A Choi Sets variant is also available.

When completing your set, it's best to choose a cup from the same series and in the same color. Cups from different series have a different construction and stack differently, so a single "foreign" cup in your set can disrupt smooth stacking, especially in the 3-6-3 and Cycle sequences.

For people who already have a Speed Stacks set and want to complete it: schools and clubs where equipment wears out quickly, and parents and competitors who have lost a cup. If you are just starting out with speed stacking, it's better to buy a full set of 12 cups, because a single cup is not enough for training.
