SK Cube Cover

SK Cube Cover, a cube cover with the Strefa Kostek logo

SK Cube Cover is a cube cover with the Strefa Kostek logo. Anyone who has been to a speedcubing competition knows these covers. After scrambling, the cube goes under the cover and stays hidden until the competitor starts inspection. When you train at home, the cover works exactly the same way.

What it's useful for

• Training in competition conditions. Someone scrambles your cube and puts the cover over it, and you uncover it only when inspection starts. You don't see the scramble beforehand, so you can't start planning your cross early. This way your times are closer to what you achieve at competitions.
• Running competitions and meetups. The cover comes in handy for clubs, schools and organizers of smaller tournaments who need several covers for setting out scrambled cubes.
• Dust protection. A cube kept under the cover on your desk or shelf collects less dust. This matters if your cube has just been lubed.

Design

The cover is lightweight and has no mechanisms. Just place it over the cube and lift it off in one move. In our shop it is available in yellow, with the Strefa Kostek logo. It's a small gadget for those who support our shop or want their gear to be instantly recognizable at competitions.

Who is it for?

For cubers who want to train the way it looks at competitions, as well as for tournament organizers and anyone looking for an inexpensive add-on to their order. If you're buying a gift for a beginner, the cover will come in handy once they start timing their solves with a timer.
