A handful of wooden pieces that you need to fit together into one solid shape, with no gaps and no wobble. Solid Blocks Puzzle is a wooden 3D puzzle. It has no turning layers, no mechanism and no algorithms to memorize. What counts is spatial thinking and patiently fitting the shapes together. When assembled, the puzzle forms a near-cube with sides of approx. 66 mm.

How it works

The idea is simple: you take the shape apart into pieces and then try to put it back together. Taking it apart takes a moment. Putting it back together is where you have to think about the order and orientation of each block so that the last one fits into its place. You can get part of the way by trial and error, but it goes faster once you start analyzing the shapes of the pieces and how they fit together.

It's a different kind of challenge from a 3x3 cube. Algorithms and fast fingers won't help you here. You need to look at each piece from every side and imagine where it could go. It works well as a break between cubing sessions or as a desk puzzle.

The assembled puzzle measures approx. 6.4 x 6.3 x 6.3 cm, so it's only slightly bigger than a standard 3x3 cube and sits comfortably in your hand. The pieces are made of wood. The Primary color variant is available.
