Speed Stacks Mini Cups (original name: Speed Stacks Minis) are a scaled-down version of the speed stacking cups you know from sport stacking classes and competitions. The set includes 12 small cups in red, white and blue. It also comes with a quick release holder for storing and carrying the cups. According to the manufacturer, the Minis are about 2.5 times smaller than standard Speed Stacks cups, and each cup is approx. 3.8 cm tall.

How stacking on them feels

You stack the same sequences on the mini cups as on the full-size ones, but the small cups demand much more finger precision. The movements are shorter, and every crooked placement shows up in the pyramid right away. If you already stack on full-size cups, they make a nice change and a good accuracy drill. For kids, they're a fun way to practise fine motor skills and remembering the order of moves.

Keep in mind that they're on a different scale than competition gear. For timed training on a mat and timer, standard Speed Stacks cups are the better choice, because the technique you develop on the Minis doesn't carry over to them one-to-one.

The biggest practical advantage of the mini cups is their size. The whole set on its holder fits in a backpack or jacket pocket, and all you need to stack is a train table, a tray table on a plane or a book on your lap. The quick release holder lets you take all the cups off at once and pack them away just as quickly, so nothing gets lost.
