Speed Stacks Tournament Display Pro

Speed Stacks Tournament Display Pro

Speed Stacks Tournament Display Pro (TD Pro) is a large external display for your timer. You connect it to a Speed Stacks timer with a cable, and the result appears on backlit digits that the manufacturer describes as readable from up to approx. 30 metres (100 feet). This way, the time can be seen not only by the competitor at the mat, but also by the judge, the audience or the whole room.

What it's for

For everyday use, a timer is all you need, because you can see the result on its small screen. A tournament display makes sense wherever more people need to see the time: at competitions, local meetups, school contests, speedcubing clubs and demonstrations. Spectators follow the result live, and the judge doesn't have to lean over the timer to read the time. You don't need this kind of equipment for regular practice at home.

Timer compatibility

The display works with Speed Stacks timers that have a data port. The precision of the result depends on the connected timer. With the StackMat Pro, the TD Pro shows the time to three decimal places, and with the older Gen 2 timer to two. If you want to connect a timer from another brand, check beforehand whether it has a data output compatible with Speed Stacks timers.

Power

The TD Pro can run on 8 AA batteries. The battery cover is screwed shut, so no one will open it by accident during a competition. According to the manufacturer, standard alkaline batteries last approx. 32 hours of continuous use, and lithium batteries last longer. The set also includes a mains power adapter, which is handy when the display stays in one place all day.
