WitEden 3x3x15 I

WitEden 3x3x15 I is an elongated cuboid with a 3x3 base that looks unusual even next to other cuboids on the shelf. It is a full function puzzle, so all faces turn. After a 90-degree turn of a side face, the puzzle loses its rectangular shape and some moves become blocked (bandaging). This is why you solve it differently from a regular 3x3 cube, and you always have to keep track of what can actually be turned at any given moment.

How it solves

The mechanism of this cuboid is very complex, and you notice it right away. WitEden 3x3x15 I does not turn smoothly: you need to align the layers carefully before every move, and corner cutting is practically non-existent. There are screws inside that let you adjust the tension a little. This is not a cube for fast solving or timed solves. It is better to solve it slowly and calmly, which also makes it easier to understand how a shape-shifting puzzle works.

Who is this cuboid for?

It is first and foremost a collector's puzzle. It is best suited to someone who collects unusual puzzles and WitEden cuboids, or who has already mastered simpler cuboids such as the 3x3x5 and is looking for something much more challenging. For a first cube, a gift for a child who is just starting out, or speedcubing, you should choose something else. This cuboid is not allowed in official competitions.

Colour versions

Two versions are available in our shop: Black, which has a black body with stickers, and Stickerless Bright, which is made of coloured plastic without stickers. The mechanism is the same in both versions. The "I" designation distinguishes this model from WitEden 3x3x15 II, which is a different puzzle from the same series.
