This version shape-shifts very easily, so besides solving the colors you also have to restore the puzzle to its cuboid shape. An interesting detail is the middle layer, which is cut perpendicular to the others. Some of the pieces in the middle are oriented differently from the rest, so even scrambling this cube properly takes a bit of attention. WitEden also makes version I of this cuboid, which has a different construction, so check which version you're choosing before you buy.How it turns
The mechanism is very complex and the layers are thin, so the turning can't match a regular 3x3 cube. The puzzle turns with noticeable resistance, and you need to align the layers carefully before each move. Some pieces are small and fairly fragile, so it's best to turn calmly and without force. You can adjust the tension with the adjustment screws.Who is it for?
This is a collector's item. It will be the most fun for people who have already solved a few smaller cuboids and are comfortable solving a 3x3. For a child's first puzzle, it's better to choose something simpler. This cube is not allowed in official competitions.Specifications:
