YJ Big 3x3 is a big 3x3 cube with an edge length of 16.8 cm. A typical speed cube measures about 56 mm, so this one is three times larger in every dimension. The rules and the solving stay the same. What changes are the proportions: you don't turn a big cube with your fingers, but with your whole hands. The cube is stickerless in a bright colour scheme, so there are no stickers that could peel off or wear away.

How does a big 3x3 cube solve?

At this size the cube weighs about 1.2 kg, so fingertricks or high TPS are out of the question. You turn each layer with your hand, and it's best to hold the cube with both hands or rest it on a table. It's more of a calm, "physical" solve than a speedsolve. If you know a method for 3x3, you'll solve it without any trouble, although it will take longer than usual. The large pieces and clear colours are easy to see from a distance, so this cube also works well for showing algorithms to several people at once, e.g. in classes or workshops.

According to distributors, the mechanism turns smoothly right out of the box. The manufacturer doesn't provide any information about magnets or a tension adjustment system, so don't assume the cube has features known from speedcubing models.
