YJ Linggan 3x3x3 in money box

YJ Linggan 3x3x3

YJ Linggan 3x3x3 is a cube you will recognize at first glance. Instead of stickers, it has round tiles set into the pieces, so each facelet shows a colored "dot" rather than a flat, square sticker. The Linggan belongs to YJ's series of tiled cubes and has a construction very similar to the YJ SuLong. People choose it mainly for its looks, not for fast solve times.

How it turns

The cube turns smoothly right out of the box, with no breaking in needed. The tiles stick out slightly above the surface, so you can clearly feel a raised texture under your fingers. Some people like it, others don't. Users rate the corner cutting as decent but nothing special. That is enough for casual, recreational solving. With aggressive turning and high TPS, the Linggan will fall behind modern speedcubing cubes.

Color variants

• Stickerless with black: colored tiles on a dark body, so the dots stand out strongly against the background.
• Transparent: clear plastic that lets you see the mechanism. It looks great on a shelf and helps you understand how the cube is built on the inside.

Who is it for?

The Linggan is a good choice for collectors who want an unusual 3x3 cube on their shelf. It also makes a nice gift for someone who enjoys puzzles and doesn't care about solve times. The tiles don't peel off or wear down like stickers, so the cube holds up well to frequent use. For speedcubing practice and competitions, you are better off with a modern magnetic cube. For a first cube to learn solving, a simpler model without raised tiles will also do the job.
