YJ repositioned the magnets to improve stability and redesigned the internals so the pieces rub against each other less. How it turns

Compared with faster 4x4s, the Elite focuses on stability and control rather than speed. The layers align easily and the cube doesn't slip out from under your fingers, which helps with longer sequences and parity. According to reviews, it is smooth and fairly calm when turning. Out of the box it can feel a bit stiff, so to get the most out of it you need to break it in, set the tension and possibly add some lube. Some users have reported popping at looser settings. If you turn aggressively, don't loosen the tension too much.

Elite, standard MGC or the bearing version?

The MGC 4x4 family includes several versions: standard, UV with a glossy coating, the JPerm signature edition and the Speed-Micro Actuator. The Elite is the version with an improved design, lower weight and matte plastic with medium grip. If you want faster turning right out of the box, consider the Speed-Micro Actuator version.
