YJ YuLong Magnetic Pyraminx

YJ YuLong Magnetic Pyraminx is an affordable magnetic Pyraminx from YJ (YongJun). It was the manufacturer's first magnetic Pyraminx and a refreshed version of the earlier non-magnetic YuLong. Many shops sell it as the YuLong Pyraminx V2 M. Light magnets sit in the edges, centers and corners (tips). They are there to help you align the layers, not to hold the puzzle rigidly in place.

How it turns

The Pyraminx turns lightly and corner cutting is decent. The magnets are relatively weak. You feel a gentle "snap" at the end of a move, but the puzzle doesn't stop on every turn. If you're used to strongly magnetic Pyraminxes, you may miss that noticeable stopping feel. For someone who is just learning, though, weak magnets like these are no problem.

Out of the box, the gaps between the pieces are fairly large, and according to user reviews the turning can feel a bit sandy at first. Usually it's enough to break it in for a while, tighten the screws and apply some lube, and it turns much more smoothly. Occasional lockups can happen during fast turning. That's normal in this price range.

Adjustment

Tension is set with adjustment screws. It's worth doing this right at the start, as the factory setup can be uneven across the axes. A tighter puzzle has smaller gaps and is more stable, while a looser one turns more lightly.

Who is it for?

For anyone buying their first Pyraminx, wanting to try this event, or needing an affordable magnetic Pyraminx for practice. Once set up, it will also work well for cubers who already have some experience. A competitor who trains Pyraminx seriously will probably look for a model with stronger magnets and more adjustment options.

    Bardzo dobry pyraminx

Stosunek ceny do jakości bardzo dobry. Świetnie się układa, lekko się porusza. Pyraminx wykonany z dobrego plastiku. Polecam wszystkim, którzy cenią sobie wygodę układania i niską cenę.

    +rzadko popuje
    +świetnie się porusza
    +rzadko popuje (praktycznie nigdy)
