YJ Yushi 6x6x6 M – a magnetic 6x6 at a budget price

The YJ Yushi 6x6x6 M is the magnetic version of the 6x6 cube from the Yu series by YongJun (YJ). Outside Poland it is also sold as the YuShi V2 M (catalogue number YJ8390). The main difference from the standard Yushi 6x6 is the magnets in the pieces. It is also smaller and lighter than the non-magnetic version.

How it turns

The cube is stable and fluid, and the turning is smooth. All layers turn at a similar speed, including the inner ones, which feel heavier on many big cubes. Corner cutting is good, although on a 6x6 it doesn't matter as much as on a 3x3. Lockups and catching do happen, but rarely.

The magnets are medium strength. You can clearly feel the layers snapping into place, with a quiet click. However, they are not strong enough to make the cube resist turning.

Out-of-the-box setup

From the factory, the Yushi M is often set up fairly loose. With fast turning, this can lead to popping and more frequent lockups. Tightening the screws helps, usually by 180–360°. The cube doesn't lose any noticeable smoothness, but it becomes much more resistant to popping. It's worth doing this right at the start.

Who is it for?

It works best for those who are just starting out with 6x6 or solve casually and want a magnetic cube without spending a lot of money. According to cubers, it falls behind more expensive 6x6 cubes at very high TPS. For serious competition training, a higher-end model is a better choice. As a first 6x6 or a cube for learning parity, it offers a lot for a small price.

Naklejki same się odkleiły.

Kostka przychodzi do nas trochę sucha i wymaga posmarowania.
