This is the second Mirror in YuXin's lineup. YuXin Black Kylin Mirror is a 3x3 mirror cube. All sides are the same colour, and the pieces differ in thickness. When solved, the puzzle is a regular cube. Once scrambled, it turns into an irregular shape, and nothing tells you where a given piece belongs. Its place is determined only by its size. This version has a black body and silver stickers with a mirror effect.

How to solve a mirror cube

Underneath, it uses a standard 3x3 mechanism, so the algorithms stay the same. What changes is how you recognise the pieces: instead of colours, you compare the thickness and position of the blocks. It takes some getting used to at first. The dark border around the silver stickers helps, because it makes the edges between pieces easier to see. Even people who have owned other mirror cubes point this out.

For a budget YuXin model, the cube turns surprisingly well. It feels similar to other mirror puzzles, but without the resistance typical of cheaper models. Users mention smooth turning and some corner cutting, which you don't usually expect from irregularly shaped cubes. However, the Mirror is not a cube for breaking records. It's meant to be an interesting challenge, not a tool for high TPS.
