YuXin Little Magic 7x7x7

YuXin Little Magic 7x7x7 is a budget non-magnetic 7x7 cube from the Little Magic series, YuXin's line of more affordable big cubes. The model was released in 2019. It measures 67.5 mm, which makes it smaller than most 7x7 cubes, and weighs around 186 g. It comes in a stickerless bright version, made of coloured plastic with no stickers.

How it turns

Users praise its smooth turning right out of the box. The cube feels smooth and doesn't need much setup to get started. Many also mention its compact size: it's easier to hold if you have smaller hands, but if you're used to bigger 7x7 cubes, the inner layers may feel too small.

This isn't a fast cube. Reviews often say the turning is fairly heavy, and finger tricks on the inner layers take some force. You may feel it in your hands during longer solves. Corner cutting is average but acceptable for this price range. Aligning the layers more carefully helps, as very imprecise turns make lockups more likely.

Adjustment

Tension is set with adjustment screws. Loosening them makes the cube turn more lightly, but it also becomes less stable. With a 7x7, it's best to change the settings in small steps and evenly on all faces.

Standard or M version?

The Little Magic 7x7 is also available as an M version with factory-installed magnets. The magnetic version is slightly heavier and settles the layers into place better, which gives you more control during faster solving. The standard version described here has no magnets, so it's better suited to relaxed, casual solving.

Who is it for?

It works well as a first 7x7 cube and an affordable way to get into big cubes, and it also makes a good gift for a child who has already mastered smaller sizes. If you want to practise 7x7 regularly for time, you'll probably soon start looking for a magnetic or flagship model. The cube is approved for official WCA competitions.
