When you scramble the YuXin rabbit, it loses its shape, and once solved it becomes a figurine again. Inside, it has a regular 2x2 mechanism, so the YuXin Rabbit Cube is essentially a 2x2 shape mod. The look changes, but the solving method stays the same. The figurine is part of the YuXin animal series and comes in two plastic colors: blue and pink.

How to solve the YuXin 2x2 rabbit

The rabbit is entirely one color, so you don't match the sides by color. The goal is to restore the animal's silhouette. You recognize the pieces by their shape, and you have to judge their orientation by how they fit with the rest of the figurine, because color gives you no hints. If you can solve a regular 2x2 cube, you can handle the rabbit too, since the algorithms are exactly the same. The harder part is reading the state of the puzzle. In a scrambled shape, it's not immediately clear which piece is an ear and which is part of the body.

Mainly for people who already know the 2x2 and want a change from classic cubes. It's also a great gift idea for a child who likes puzzles and animals. However, if they are only just learning to solve the 2x2, it's better to start with a regular colored cube and give them the rabbit as the next step. The Rabbit Cube isn't suited for setting records, because its irregular shape doesn't make fast turning easier. What matters here is restoring the figurine, not the time. A solved rabbit looks great on a shelf, also next to other animals from this YuXin series, such as the tiger, panda, dragon or snake.
