Z-Cube 3x3x3 M Metal Tiles is a magnetic 3x3 cube with metal outer tiles. Inside is a regular plastic mechanism, just like in a typical cube, and the metal covers only the surface. That is why the cube looks and feels different in your hand than plastic models, but it turns like a normal 3x3 cube rather than a heavy solid-metal casting. The letter M in the name stands for the magnetic version.

There used to be a non-magnetic Metal Tiles version as well, while the solid-metal models weigh more than twice as much and are meant for display rather than solving.

For anyone who wants a cube that stands out with its material and look: as a gift, for a collection, for your desk or for relaxed casual solving. This is not a cube for breaking records. A speedcuber who cares about high TPS and a light build will be better off with a classic plastic magnetic cube in the same price range.
