Z-Cube Golden Mogao-Caves Cube

Z-Cube Golden Mogao-Caves Cube 3x3

Z-Cube Golden Mogao-Caves Cube is a gold-coloured 3x3 cube from Z-Cube. Its name refers to the Mogao Caves, a complex of Buddhist temples carved into the rock near Dunhuang on the ancient Silk Road. This cube looks noticeably different from typical colourful 3x3 cubes, so people choose it mainly for its unusual style.

Size and weight

The cube has a standard size of 56 mm, the same as most modern 3x3 cubes. It fits comfortably in the hands of anyone used to typical speedcubes. It weighs approx. 77 g. That's a fairly typical weight for a 3x3 cube of this size: it isn't noticeably heavier or lighter than popular models.

Gold 3x3 cube with a Mogao theme

What makes this product stand out above all is its look. The gold finish and the reference to the Mogao Caves make the cube a great addition to a collection, a desk decoration or a gift for someone who loves puzzles and Chinese culture. It comes in one colour variant: Golden.

With single-colour and gold cubes, there's one thing to keep in mind. If all the faces have a similar shade, you can't solve the cube the same way as a classic six-colour 3x3. Before buying, take a look at the product photos and check how the individual faces are marked.

Who is it for?

For collectors of unusual cubes and anyone looking for an original puzzle-related gift. For timed practice, learning your first solving methods or as a child's first cube, a classic magnetic 3x3 cube with clearly distinguishable face colours is a better choice.
