Z-Cube UV Print 2x2 is a non-magnetic 2x2 cube with a transparent body. The face colors are not stickers or colored plastic. They are UV-printed directly onto the surface of the pieces. The cube is eye-catching, and you can see its mechanism through the transparent pieces, yet you can still solve it just like any other cube.

UV print instead of stickers

On a classic stickered cube, the stickers are the first thing to wear out: the edges lift, and the stickers rub off and fall off. Here the color is printed onto the plastic, so nothing can peel off. The surface is smooth, with no sticker edges to feel under your fingers. With a transparent body, this is a good solution: colored plastic would ruin the whole effect, and stickers would hide the inside.

How it turns

This is a simple 2x2 cube with no magnets and no adjustment systems. It turns lightly and is perfectly fine for learning and casual solving. However, it lacks what a speedcuber expects from a cube for timed solving: there are no magnets to snap the layers into place, you cannot change the tension, and the feel is more basic than in magnetic speedcubing models. If you want to train 2x2 for time, you will be better off choosing a magnetic 2x2 cube from the speedcubing section.

Who is it for?

The Z-Cube UV Print 2x2 makes the most sense as:

• a first 2x2 cube for a child or anyone just learning to solve, because it is simple and has no settings to figure out,
• a collector's or decorative cube to display on a shelf next to other transparent puzzles,
• a small gift for someone who enjoys puzzles but does not necessarily solve for time.
