Z-Cube UV Print 4x4

Z-Cube UV Print 4x4 is a transparent stickerless 4x4 cube. The colors are printed directly onto the surface of the pieces using UV print technology. Thanks to its looks, this cube is more of an eye-catcher than a record-breaking tool. You can see the whole mechanism through the transparent plastic, and the printed tiles won't peel off or slide around on the pieces, which is something stickers tend to do over time.

UV Print is not UV Coated

The names sound similar, but they mean two different things. On speedcubing cubes, "UV Coated" refers to a glossy coating on the whole cube that improves grip. On this model, UV refers only to the way the colors are applied. There is no such coating here, and the print replaces stickers or colored plastic.

Mechanism and feel

This 4x4 cube has no magnets, Ball-Core or MagLev. Without magnets, the layers don't "snap into place" on their own, so on a 4x4 you need to align your turns a bit more precisely to avoid lockups when switching from inner to outer layers. If you want to practice 4x4 for time, choose a magnetic cube designed for speedcubing.

Who is it for?

Z-Cube UV Print 4x4 works well as a cube for casual solving, an eye-catching gift or a collection piece. It will also appeal to anyone who wants to see what a 4x4 mechanism looks like on the inside. When solving a transparent cube, the tile colors may be less distinct than on a classic stickerless cube. If you're just learning the reduction method and parity, it may not be the most convenient choice.
