Zcube Devil's Eyes

Zcube Devil's Eyes is a shape mod built on a 3x3 cube mechanism. When solved, it is roughly cube-shaped, measuring about 6.1–6.3 cm per side. The pieces are cut in an unusual way, so once scrambled the puzzle loses its regular form and looks completely different from a classic cube. Our shop offers it in the Stickerless Bright version, which is made of coloured plastic with no stickers.

How to solve it

The puzzle turns just like a regular 3x3, so knowing any 3x3 solving method is a big help. The challenge comes from the shape. The pieces vary in size and form, so after a few moves it gets harder to tell which piece is which, and you have to look at both colours and geometry. That is how most shape mods work: you already know the algorithms, but you solve more slowly and deliberately because you have to learn to recognise each situation all over again.

This is a puzzle for collecting and for fun, not a cube for setting records.

Who is it for?

Devil's Eyes is a good choice if you can already solve a classic 3x3 and want something different from yet another faster version of the same cube. It works well as the next step after your first shape mods (e.g. Mirror Cube or Axis Cube) or as an unusual puzzle for your collection shelf. If you are buying a gift for a child who is just learning to solve, get a regular 3x3 cube first and come back to Devil's Eyes once they have mastered the basics.
