At first glance, the Animal Cube looks like a small figurine, but inside it has a 3x3 cube mechanism. It turns just like a classic 3x3 cube and is solved with the same methods. The difference is the shape. Once you scramble it, the animal's silhouette falls apart and head pieces such as the ears end up in different places. It's a simple shape mod that works both as a puzzle and as a desk decoration.

How to solve it

If you can solve a regular 3x3 cube, you can solve the Animal Cube too. You don't need to learn any new algorithms. The challenge is that some pieces stick out from the main body. So you have to keep track of the colors while also checking whether the figurine's shape is coming together the right way. If you've just learned your first solves, it's a fun change from the classic 3x3, even though the method stays the same.

This is not a speedcube. The figurine shape and protruding pieces don't lend themselves to fast turning or high TPS. For chasing times, a regular magnetic 3x3 cube is a better choice. The Animal Cube is more suited to relaxed solving, a collection or as a gift.
