C4U Maze 4x4 Clock

C4U Maze 4x4 Clock is part of C4U's (Cube4You) collection of 3D-printed clocks. It is based on the classic Clock, but instead of a 3x3 grid, each side has 16 dials in a 4x4 layout. There is also a second element: a maze pattern is woven into the grid. Setting the hands alone is not enough to solve it. You also have to solve the whole maze pattern.

How it differs from a regular Clock

With a standard Clock, the whole challenge comes down to setting all the hands to 12 o'clock. The Maze 4x4 Clock is a puzzle for people who have already mastered that. The bigger grid means more dials to keep track of, and the maze adds a condition you won't find on any classic clock. Knowing Clock event methods helps, but they don't carry over one to one. You will have to work out much of the solution yourself.

This is not a model for competition practice. The official Clock event uses a clock with a 3x3 grid, while the Maze 4x4 is a collector's item and a logic puzzle.

Build

The body and parts are 3D-printed. This is typical of C4U clocks with unusual dial layouts, which are made in smaller batches than mass-produced Clocks. The clock is round, and our shop offers it in purple (Purple). 3D-printed puzzles need a little care: avoid taking them apart unless necessary, and don't leave them where they could fall onto a hard floor.

Who is it for?

The Maze 4x4 Clock is a good choice for collectors of unusual clocks or for anyone who knows the regular Clock well and is looking for something harder. It also fits nicely in a collection alongside other C4U clocks from the NxN series. For your first Clock, choose a classic 3x3 model, which makes it easier to learn how the pins and dials work.
