Calvins Puzzle 3x3 Double Cube I is the first puzzle in the Double Cube series from Calvin's Puzzle. It is based on a 3x3 cube but looks different from one. It is not a speedcubing cube but a collector's puzzle. What matters here is the unusual shape and a more interesting solve, not the time.

The Double Cube series

Calvin's releases several puzzles called Double Cube. They come with different numbers and finishes: Double Cube I, Double Cube II, Double Cube III (Fused) and Metallic versions. This page is for the Double Cube I in the standard finish, without the metallic coating. The other parts of the series are separate puzzles, not just different colors of the same cube. Before you buy, make sure this is the exact model you are looking for.

Who is it for?

For people who can already solve a classic 3x3 cube and want to try something different. Knowing the regular 3x3 helps, but it is not enough: the unusual shape makes you look at the pieces and their positions in a new way. It is also a great gift for a collector of unusual puzzles or for anyone who likes Calvin's Puzzle cubes.

It is less suitable as a first cube for a child or someone who is just learning. To start, it is better to choose a regular magnetic 3x3 cube and come back to the Double Cube I once you have mastered the classic method.
