This cube is a great pick for anyone who enjoys physics or electronics. The Calvins Puzzle 3x3 Physics Circuit Cube works just like a regular 3x3 cube, but instead of solid colors, each face has an electrical circuit diagram printed on it. Parts of the circuits and electrical symbols are spread across the individual pieces, and a solved face shows a complete, connected diagram. We sell the Stickerless Bright version.

How to solve it

The move sequences and algorithms are the same as on a regular 3x3 cube. The difference is in the centers. On a classic cube, the rotation of a center doesn't matter. Here, the diagram only lines up when every center is turned the right way. In this respect the cube is similar to a supercube, where you also have to orient the centers. If you know supercube algorithms, you'll have no trouble. If not, according to the distributors, you can simply turn the center caps into the correct position by hand.

What to expect

The Physics Circuit Cube is not a cube for breaking records. According to the distributor's specifications, it has no magnets and doesn't use features such as MagLev or Ball-Core. On the other hand, it has a standard size of 56 mm and weighs about 70 g, so it feels good in the hand and is well suited to casual, recreational solving. The manufacturer doesn't provide any information about a tension adjustment system.

Who is it for?

For people who can solve a 3x3 cube and want to add the extra challenge of center orientation.
