Void Multi-Star Wheel Cube by Calvin's Puzzle is a cube-shaped shape mod puzzle that turns around its corners (corner-turning). Each face has a wheel that spins freely. The Void version has a hole in the centre of every face. Through it you can see hidden inner pieces, which also have to be solved. This limited edition comes in a Transparent Blue colour and is sold as a DiyKit.

How the Void Multi-Star Wheel Cube works

Solving it means combining two types of moves. Turning the corners swaps pieces around, and you can turn the wheels on the faces independently at any time. Inside the hole of each face there are also 4 pieces connected to the corners. These are what set the Void version apart from the regular Multi-Star Wheel Cube and raise the difficulty. According to users, this part behaves like a Dino Cube and is usually solved at the very end. So if you know the Dino Cube, it makes things a lot easier.

Feel and setup

This is a puzzle for relaxed solving and for your collection, not a speedcubing cube for timed solves. Buyers say that out of the box the mechanism is fairly stiff, especially when turning the wheels. It improves noticeably after lubing. The puzzle has no magnets.
