The DaYan Megaminx Pro+ MagLev has 220 magnets, Ball-Core and repelling magnets instead of springs. It features numbered adjustment: 8 tension levels, 6 center travel settings and 5 core magnet strength levels. Stickerless bright color with a matte surface.

This is DaYan's flagship megaminx in a MagLev and Ball-Core version. The DaYan Megaminx Pro+ MagLev is the successor to the Megaminx Pro. It keeps its predecessor's magnetic core and adds full numbered adjustment, which many users missed on the Pro. Instead of springs, it uses repelling magnets (MagLev), and the whole puzzle has 220 magnets. The version we offer is stickerless bright with a matte surface.
Ball-Core means magnets between the corners and the core. They help the layers snap into place and keep the puzzle stable during fast turning, so lockups happen less often. MagLev gives a lighter, smoother turn than classic springs. The Pro+ series has generous corner cutting, so the puzzle forgives moves that aren't perfectly aligned. Users mainly praise its control and corner cutting. A few point out that the mechanism isn't at its best straight out of the box and only becomes noticeably smoother once you adjust the tension. The feel is fairly tactile, which won't suit everyone.
Tension and center travel alone give you 48 combinations. The core magnet strength is adjusted independently of them. You need a screwdriver to make adjustments.
The Pro+ also comes in a Magnetic version: it has 160 magnets, classic springs, the same Ball-Core and the same adjustment range. The MagLev version is slightly heavier and turns lighter and smoother. The Magnetic version has a more classic, spring-based feel. There is also an enlarged Pro+ MagLev L variant for those who prefer a bigger megaminx in their hands.
For anyone who solves the megaminx against the clock and wants to tune the puzzle to their style. The wide adjustment range is useful both for someone just switching to megaminx and for a WCA competitor. As a first puzzle for a child, a simpler 3x3 cube is a better choice.
