The NeZha is DaYan's first 5x5 cube and also the brand's first magnetic big cube. It was released in 2022. What makes the DaYan NeZha 5M 5x5 stand out most is its weight. It weighs approx. 113 g, while the popular QiYi Valk 5 M weighs approx. 135 g. This is the Strong Magnetic version, the stronger of the two available magnet options. The surface is polished (no UV coating), and the colour scheme is stickerless bright.

How it turns

You'll notice the low weight most during longer sessions. The cube is easier on your hands, and turning doesn't take much force. Reviewers describe the NeZha as fast and fairly flexible, with a feel typical of DaYan cubes. They also praise its good resistance to popping. It turns nicely, but the sound it makes can suggest the cube is dry, even though it isn't. Reverse corner cutting isn't large, so the cube suits cubers who turn accurately.

Strong or Standard?

The NeZha is available with Strong and Standard magnets. The difference between them is smaller than the names suggest. The magnets are also weaker than the manufacturer claims. In practice, Strong gives you medium magnet strength, and Standard medium to light. The Strong version suits you if you like a more noticeable "click" and want the cube to help you align layers more. If you prefer very light magnets, you'll be happier with the Standard version.

Construction and adjustment

The internals resemble a typical 5x5 design. Under the six center caps there are classic screws and springs. There's no MagLev, Ball-Core or separate compression adjustment. You change the tension with the included screwdriver. The included springs are lighter than the factory ones, so you can set the cube up looser.
