The third generation of DaYan's pyraminx, released in 2025. The DaYan Pyraminx V3 (Magnetic) is the standard version: it runs on classic springs, has frosted plastic with no UV coating and a 10-magnet Ball-Core inside. The puzzle comes in a stickerless bright colour scheme, so there are no stickers that could wear off or peel.

How it turns

The V3 is fast and stable right out of the box, so it doesn't need a long setup. According to reviews, it has good corner cutting, and the feel is described as light and "airy". The puzzle is quiet, and the magnets are noticeable but don't dominate the turning. According to users, they are weaker than in MoYu pyraminxes and closer to what GAN offers. The tips turn confidently, without any feeling of looseness.

A few things for the record. Some people say the V3 feels smaller in the hand than other pyraminxes, despite its size of approx. 96 mm. The frosted plastic can also feel quite slippery. If you want a very buttery, maximally fast turning feel, some reviewers prefer the pyraminx from MoYu's WeiLong series in this respect.

Ball-Core and adjustment

The Ball-Core and the core magnet adjustment are the same in both versions. The Magnetic version has a more classic spring feel and a frosted surface with medium grip.

Who is it for?

For anyone who wants their first proper magnetic pyraminx, and for speedcubers looking for a stable model with a sensible adjustment range without paying extra for MagLev and UV. Because it works well right away and needs no tools for adjustment, it also makes a great gift for a child who can already solve and wants a better puzzle.
