DaYan+SaoCube FTO

DaYan+SaoCube FTO is a special edition of the DaYan FTO, made by SAOCube in collaboration with DaYan. The FTO (Face-Turning Octahedron) is an octahedron in which each of the eight triangular faces turns. The main difference from the standard version is the black internal pieces, which create a strong contrast with the colored faces.

Mechanism

In terms of construction, it uses the same platform as the DaYan FTO with magnets and ball core. Magnets connect the corners to the core, which gives you good control and makes it easier to align layers. The puzzle is protected against popping, has good corner cutting, and grooves on the pieces help spread the lube. According to one user who compared both versions, the magnets are noticeable but not overpowering, and it is hard to find a clear difference in turning compared to the standard version.

Black internals
