DianSheng Galaxy 5x5 Magnetic Mirror Cube is a magnetic 5x5 mirror cube. All pieces share a single metallic colour, so you don't recognise them by colour but by their shape and thickness. When scrambled, the cube turns into a shape with uneven sides. Once solved, it returns to a perfect cube. DianSheng released this model in early 2025 as a 5x5 mirror cube with a mechanism taken from modern speed cubes, not as a decorative gadget.

How it turns

Most older mirror cubes turn poorly. This one is different, because magnets in the corners and edges help the layers align. Every turn ends with a noticeable "click". In reviews, users describe the turning as smooth, with little catching and good corner cutting. That's a lot for a mirror cube, but it isn't a puzzle for breaking speed records. What matters here is an enjoyable, smooth solve of a challenging puzzle.

What makes it difficult

The 5x5 mirror cube is clearly harder than the 3x3 mirror cube. There are many more pieces, and the differences in their thickness can be small. Building the centres and pairing the edges need the most attention, because you have to match pieces by feel and by eye. On top of that come the parities known from the regular 5x5. The algorithms are the same as on a standard 5x5 cube; only the way you recognise the pieces changes.

Who is it for?

For anyone who can already solve a regular 5x5 cube and wants a new challenge. The cube also makes a great addition to a collection of shape mod puzzles. The metallic finish looks great on a shelf. If you're just starting out and don't know a 5x5 method yet, it's better to begin with a 3x3 mirror cube or a classic 5x5.

Colour versions

Three versions are available in our shop: Blue, Pink and Purple. All have a metallic surface and differ only in colour. In photos the shine may look stronger than in reality. In person, some users see it as more subdued, satin-like.
