Don't confuse this model with the budget Solar 4M. The DianSheng Solar 4x4 S4M is a separate, newer design and the manufacturer's first flagship magnetic 4x4 cube. It comes factory magnetized, is stickerless and measures 60 mm, the standard size for a 4x4. It costs noticeably less than most flagship 4x4s, and reviews compare it to the MGC 4x4.

How it turns

The character of this cube comes from its strong magnets and a fairly blocky feel. Even when the mechanism feels a little loose, the magnets hold the layers firmly in place, so the cube is stable and predictable. Reviewers praise the corner cutting, which they compare to top 4x4s. Users rate the fast, crisp slice moves highly. Reverse corner cutting is weaker, though, and calls for slightly more precise turning.
