FangShi Crucis 3x3x3 + Skewb No.1 is a hybrid puzzle from the LimCube series. It combines two mechanisms in one puzzle: regular face turns like a 3x3 cube and diagonal turns like a Skewb. You can mix both types of moves freely, so the pieces get scrambled much more thoroughly than in either puzzle on its own. We offer the stickerless bright version, made of coloured plastic with no stickers that could wear off.

What makes the No.1 version different

The Crucis series comes in four versions, which differ in the number of bundled corners. A bundled corner restricts 3x3 moves, because turning an outer layer drags the middle layer along with it. You have to work around this with Skewb moves. No.1 has only standard corners, so 3x3 and Skewb turns work without restrictions. It is the easiest version in the series, but it is far from easy. Versions No.2, No.3 and No.4 have one, two and four bundled corners respectively.

How it turns

This is a collector's puzzle, not a cube for breaking records. According to users, the Skewb moves are smooth, while the 3x3 turns have noticeable catching. It works best if you turn calmly and align the layers carefully before the next move. The puzzle has no magnets. Turn it with a light touch, because forcing it or turning fast can easily overload the complex mechanism.
