FanXin 42 cm 3x3

FanXin 42 cm 3x3 is a giant 3x3 cube. Each edge measures approx. 42 cm, which makes it roughly seven times longer than a standard 56 mm cube. Speedcubing shops describe it as the largest mass-produced 3x3 cube. You solve it exactly like a regular 3x3, just on a completely different scale. We offer it in the stickerless bright version: the pieces are made of coloured plastic with no stickers, so nothing wears off or peels away.

What solving it is like

This is not a cube for breaking records, and it makes no sense to compare it with speedcubes. A single piece measures approx. 14 cm, and you turn the layers with your whole hands, often with both of them. Fast fingertricks, TPS or corner cutting in the speedcubing sense simply don't apply here. The algorithms are exactly the same as on a regular 3x3, so anyone who can solve a cube can solve this one too. The difference is that the whole solve can be seen from far away.

What it's great for

• Display. On a shelf, in a cuber's room, in a shop or in an office, it catches the eye immediately.
• Demonstrations and teaching. At school, in workshops or at a club, it's easy to show a group how a given algorithm works, because every move is visible from the other end of the room.

A smaller alternative

If 42 cm is too much for your desk or shelf, we also offer the FanXin 19 CM 3x3. It also stands out clearly thanks to its size, but it's easier to hold in your hands and find a spot for. For everyday solving and learning speedcubing, a regular 3x3 cube of approx. 55-57 mm is a better choice.
