A set of three Fanxin dinosaur-shaped puzzles built on a 2x2x3 mechanism. The puzzle changes shape as you solve it, and in the end you need to restore both the colors and the dinosaur silhouette. Stickerless version without magnets, a great gift for a dinosaur lover or an addition to a shape mod collection.
Fanxin Dinosaur Cube Bundle 1 is a set of three dinosaur-shaped puzzles. Each one has a 2x2x3 cuboid mechanism inside, with a shell in the form of a dinosaur figure. The cubes are stickerless (colored plastic instead of stickers) and have no magnets. Fanxin also makes a second set with different dinosaurs, so Bundle 1 is only half of the full series.
You start with a dinosaur figure in your hand. After a few moves it no longer looks like an animal, because the pieces shift as you turn and the puzzle changes shape. Solving it means restoring both the colors and the whole dinosaur silhouette. The 2x2x3 mechanism is restricted: two layers turn in 90-degree steps, while the side faces turn only 180 degrees. Because of this, it solves differently from a regular 2x2 or 3x3 cube, even if you already know a 3x3 method.
This set is not designed for speedcubing. These puzzles are not made for high TPS or corner cutting; what matters here is the shape and the fun. They turn lightly and are quite challenging for their size, since recognizing the shape adds extra work while solving.
If you want the complete series, you can add the second set with the remaining species.
