GAN 328 Keychain – a mini 3x3 cube keychain

GAN 328 Keychain is the smallest 3x3 cube GAN has ever released. It measures only approx. 28 mm, roughly half the size of a regular speedcubing cube. The GAN 328 originally came in this manufacturer's mosaic sets, and now you can buy it separately, together with a clear case and a hanging strap. That turns it into a keychain for your keys or backpack. Two plastic colors are available in our shop: Black and Gray.

How it turns

To put it plainly: this is not a speedcube. With a cube this small, the turning is far from what modern 3x3 cubes offer, and according to reviews it is even slightly worse than the GAN 330 Keychain. You can solve the GAN 328 normally, but at this size don't expect high TPS or comfortable corner cutting. It's more of a gadget, a gift or a collector's item than a cube for practice.

Tiles instead of stickers

The faces have colored tiles, i.e. inset plastic pieces, rather than regular stickers. In a cube this small it makes a difference, because nothing peels off or wears away at the edges, even when the keychain bounces around in your pocket all day.

Case and strap

Unlike the GAN 330, this cube has no hole in the corner for a ring. The strap attaches to a clear clamshell case, which holds the cube quite snugly and keeps it visible from every side. Once the strap is attached, the case locks, so the cube won't fall out by accident. The set includes a silicone strap with the GANCUBE logo, a ring and a chain.

GAN 328 or GAN 330?

The GAN 330 is a bit bigger (approx. 30 mm), attaches directly to the strap and turns better. If you want a mini cube for quick solves while traveling, the GAN 330 is the better choice. You'll pick the GAN 328 rather when the smallest possible size, the looks and the protection of the case matter most.
