The lighter version of the flagship HuaMeng TG V2 cube with an 8-magnet Ball-Core and UV coating. You adjust the magnets of all corners with a single geared dial (6 levels). On top of that, you get 9 elasticity levels and 6 tensioning levels, each with a numbered setting.

HuaMeng is a brand owned by MoYu, and the TG is their flagship 3x3 cube. The biggest change in the second generation is the adjustment system. Every setting has its own number, so you can always return to a setup you know works, with no guessing how many screw turns you made last time. HuaMeng TG V2 3x3 8-M Ball Core UV is the lighter of the two versions of this model. It has an 8-magnet Ball-Core and a UV coating, and our shop offers it in the stickerless bright colour scheme.
You change the strength of the corner magnets with a single dial. Through a gear mechanism, it adjusts all four corners at once, so one corner can never end up at a different level from the others. You can choose from 6 levels, from a lighter, faster setting to stronger magnets with a distinct "click". On top of that, you get 9 elasticity levels (core springiness) and 6 tensioning levels. That adds up to 324 combinations. If you like testing setups and noting down your settings, this is very convenient. If you just want to solve, you can simply keep the factory setting.
The TG V2 also comes in a version with a 20-magnet Ball-Core. Here, the core uses 8 magnets in the ball and 8 magnets in the corner feet. This makes the cube lighter, and the core pulls the layers less strongly than in the 20-M version. The 20-M version has more magnets and additional edge magnet adjustment, but it is noticeably heavier. Speedcubing shops describe the 8-M variant as faster and lighter in turning. The 20-M version is usually chosen by people who like a strong core pull and a heavier cube in the hand. Neither version is objectively better; they simply have a different character.
This cube makes the most sense for intermediate and advanced cubers who want to tailor the cube to their style and make use of the adjustments. It is a good choice if you prefer a lighter 3x3 cube with a Ball-Core. For a child's first cube, this many adjustment options are usually unnecessary, and a simpler magnetic model will do.
