Monster Go 3x3x3 Standard

Monster Go is a GAN brand of more affordable cubes for beginners, launched in 2020. The Monster Go 3x3x3 Standard is a classic 3x3 cube without magnets. This is the traditional version, and the same series also includes a separate magnetic variant. The design of the pieces, the core and the tension system are based on solutions from GAN cubes, and you can feel it while solving. The cube comes in bright stickerless colors, so there are no stickers that could peel off or wear out.

How it turns

For a budget cube, the Standard is fast and turns smoothly. It has no magnets, so the layers don't stop in the right place on their own. This gives a lighter, freer turning feel, but it takes slightly more precise moves to avoid overshooting. The core is stable, and the cube handles harder, less precise turns well, which comes in handy when you're just starting to learn. The inside of the pieces has GAN's characteristic honeycomb structure. It helps spread the lube evenly and contributes to smooth turning.

Adjustment

Tension is set with nuts from the GES system, known from GAN cubes. This means you can loosen the cube for faster turning or tighten it when you need more control and less play.

Standard or magnetic version?

The Standard version is a good fit if you're learning to solve or simply prefer cubes without magnets. When it's time to start timing your solves and learning more advanced methods, many people switch to a magnetic cube. Magnets help the layers snap into place and reduce lockups at higher TPS.

Who is it for?

As a first proper 3x3 cube, also for kids. The set includes a solving guide and free access to a beginner tutorial in the Cube Station app, so you can start learning right after unboxing.
