Monster Go Spelling Cube 3x3 is a set of nine small 3x3 cubes from the Monster Go brand. Monster Go is GAN's line designed for kids and beginners. These cubes are not meant for setting speed records. You arrange them in a 3x3 square, and together their faces form one picture made of 81 tiles. You can use them to build a letter, a number, a simple shape or your own pixel art design.

How the mosaic set works

A regular cube has six colors. Here each cube has only two: half of it is one color and half is the other. This makes planning a picture easier, because on each face you only choose which tiles should be light and which should be dark. Your child doesn't need to know how to solve a 3x3 cube. It's enough to turn the layers and watch how the pattern changes. Over time, they develop a feel for which move brings the chosen tiles into place. Along the way, they practice spatial awareness and concentration.

The cubes are stickerless, so nothing will peel off or wear away, even with frequent use. They have no magnets, as these aren't needed in a mosaic set.

Color versions

• Yellow: cubes in a combination of green and yellow.
• Purple: cubes in a combination of pink and purple.

The two versions differ only in color. The number of cubes and the way you use them are the same.

Who is it for?

The set works best for kids who are just getting to know cubes. It's also useful at home and at school as an aid for learning letters and numbers. It will also appeal to anyone who enjoys creating patterns and mosaics. For speedcubing, it's better to choose a full-size magnetic cube, as the small cubes in this set aren't designed for it. For bigger pictures, there is a 4x4 version, a set of 16 cubes.
