MoYu 50mm Cube Stand

MoYu 50mm Cube Stand

MoYu 50mm Cube Stand is a plastic MoYu stand for cubes with a side length of about 50 mm. In practice, this mainly means 2x2 cubes, as most modern 2x2s are exactly this size. The stand belongs to the Globe series. A cube placed on the stand can rotate like a globe, so you can view it from every side without taking it off. The version on sale is black.

Which cubes fit the 50 mm stand

The size in the stand's name matches the size of the cube you put on it. The 50 mm version is made for 2x2 cubes. A typical 3x3 cube is about 55-56 mm and is too big for it. MoYu makes separate Globe stands for larger cubes:

• approx. 55.5 mm: 3x3 cubes,
• approx. 58 mm: 4x4 cubes,
• approx. 60 mm: 5x5 cubes.

Cube sizes vary slightly between models. If your 2x2 is noticeably smaller or larger than 50 mm, check its size before buying. A cube that doesn't match the stand may sit less securely.

What it's for

The stand comes in handy on a collection shelf or a desk, and whenever you want to show off your cube instead of keeping it in a drawer. It has no effect on solving. It's a storage and display accessory that gives your solved 2x2 its own place and keeps it from rolling across the table. It also works well as an inexpensive extra for a 2x2 cube bought as a gift.

If you have a larger collection with different sizes, you can pick stands from the same series for each cube. They will then look consistent on the shelf.
