MoYu AoShi GTS 6x6x6 Magnetic

MoYu AoShi GTS 6x6x6 Magnetic

MoYu AoShi GTS 6x6x6 Magnetic (also known as AoShi GTS M) is the magnetic version of the 2018 AoShi GTS 6x6. For a long time it was one of the top 6x6 cubes on the market. MoYu now has newer models, such as the AoShi WR M, but the GTS M is still a solid magnetic 6x6 for anyone who doesn't need the current flagship.

How it turns

The cube turns smoothly and responds well to lube. The magnets clearly signal when a layer is aligned. This matters on a 6x6: with so many layers, misalignment happens easily and leads to lockups. Reviewers also praise its stability and corner cutting. Opinions on magnet strength vary. Some describe it as medium, others mention a strong "snap" when turning. It's safest to assume the magnets are clearly noticeable. On a very loose setting with aggressive cutting the cube may pop, so don't loosen it too much.

First impressions vary too. Some copies are dry and slightly crunchy straight out of the box, while others have too much lube. Either way, a few solves and adjusting the lube noticeably improve the turning.

Tension adjustment

Tension is set with classic adjustment screws. The cube has no compression system or interchangeable magnet sets found in newer designs, so setup is limited to tensioning and lubing.

Who is it for?

For someone moving up from 5x5 to bigger cubes who wants a magnetic 6x6 and doesn't need the latest generation. It also works well as a second 6x6 for practice. A competitor looking for maximum performance will probably choose a newer design, e.g. one with a magnetic core.
