MoYu Super WeiLong V2 AI Maglev Gyroscope UV

MoYu released this smart 3x3 cube in 2025 as the flagship of its electronic line. The MoYu Super WeiLong V2 AI Maglev Gyroscope UV uses the mechanism of the Super WeiLong V2 speed cube: MagLev, a magnetic Ball-Core and a UV coating. On top of that, it has Bluetooth electronics and a built-in gyroscope. The cube connects to a smartphone app and sends every move to it. After a solve, you can review your time, statistics and a full reconstruction. The app also offers training modes, tutorials and online matches against other cubers.

What is the gyroscope for? A regular smart cube only records layer turns. The gyroscope also tracks how you rotate the whole cube in your hands. This makes the reconstruction in the app more accurate and shows cube rotations, not just the turns.

The cube has a total of 88 magnets. 28 magnets sit in the core and the corner feet (8-magnet Ball-Core), 48 in the edges and corners, and 12 under the center caps in the MagLev system. The magnets in the core pull the corners towards the center. This keeps the layers more stable during fast turning and helps them snap into place. MagLev replaces springs with repelling magnets. There is less friction, and turning is lighter and smoother than with springs.

Adjustment includes 8 tension levels, 8 compression levels, 8 Ball-Core magnet strength settings and 8 settings for the magnets in the pieces. The corners have an adjustment system that changes the strength of all the magnets in a corner with a single mechanism. You don't have to set them one by one, so changing the setup is quicker.

According to user feedback, the cube is rather fast out of the box. If you prefer more control, you will usually want to increase the tension. Reviews of the Super WeiLong V2 often praise its smooth feel and good corner cutting. The glossy UV coating improves the look and is anti-slip, so the cube sits more securely in your fingers.

AI or standard version? The standard Super WeiLong V2 without electronics has a 20-magnet Ball-Core, 100 magnets in total and additional repulsion adjustment in the Ball-Core. It is also lighter. Choose the AI version if you want to train with data from the app, analyze your solves and play online. If you don't need the app, the standard version gives you a similar mechanism with a stronger Ball-Core. For a beginner or a child learning to solve, the AI version makes sense mainly thanks to the tutorials in the app.

A charger is included, and a full charge lasts about 30 hours of use. The cube measures approx. 56 mm, weighs approx. 77 g and comes in the Stickerless Bright version.
