The QiYi M Pro 2x2 Magnetic is a fast, smooth 2x2 cube with medium-to-strong magnets and a dual tension adjustment system with 5 settings. It measures 51 mm, weighs approx. 62 g and has matte plastic in a stickerless bright colour scheme.

QiYi M Pro 2x2 is an affordable magnetic 2x2 cube with tension adjustment that holds up well against considerably more expensive cubes. This is the basic Magnetic version, with magnets in the pieces but no magnets in the core (Ball-Core). The cube has matte plastic with medium grip and comes in a stickerless bright colour scheme.
Turning is fast, smooth and fairly "buttery". The magnets are medium to strong, so the layers clearly snap into place. Opinions on their strength are mixed: some people like it, while others find them too strong. Reviewers also praise the wide corner cutting, both forward and reverse.
There are two weaker points worth knowing about. Several users report corner twists when turning less accurately, which can cost you a DNF at a competition. Out of the box, the cube can also be loud, and you can hear the springs. There isn't much factory lube, so after lubing it usually turns quieter and more consistently.
The M Pro has a dual adjustment system with 5 settings, so you can set it looser for speed or tighter for stability. The cube is 51 mm, which is 1 mm larger than a typical 50 mm 2x2. This works better for larger hands and for solving with whole fingers.
The M Pro 2x2 series comes in three versions. Magnetic (this one) has magnets only in the pieces and is the lightest. Ball-Core additionally has 8 magnets in the core, which help align the layers and slightly improve stability. According to reviewers, the difference is noticeable but small. The Ball-Core UV version (SAOCube SE edition) has the same mechanism as the Ball-Core and a glossy UV coating that gives your fingers a better grip. If you don't need the extra stabilisation, the basic version gives you the same feel of the cube.
It's a great choice for a first proper 2x2 cube, including for a child who is just starting out with cubes. An intermediate cuber gets tension adjustment and fast turning without spending money on a flagship model. A competitor fighting for hundredths of a second will probably go for a more expensive design with more adjustment options anyway.
