QiYi Magnetic Pro 3x3 V2 Flagship (QiYi M Pro V2 for short) is an affordable 3x3 magnetic cube with tension and compression adjustment. Compared to the first M Pro, the changes are small and mainly aim to improve stability. The Flagship is the basic version of this model: it has frosted plastic, classic springs and magnets in the pieces only. It has no MagLev and no core magnets.

How it turns

The cube is smooth and stable, and the noticeable magnets give you good control and help the layers snap into place. Opinions on corner cutting are mixed. Some praise it as snappy, others find it average when turning loosely. If you turn very lightly, you may find the magnets too strong and be more prone to overshooting or small lockups. Adjustment

You can set the cube tighter for more control, or looser for speed.

Flagship or Pioneer UV?

The more expensive Pioneer UV version has a glossy UV coating with more grip, MagLev instead of springs, and core magnets that further stabilize the cube and help align the layers. The Flagship is simpler and cheaper. It gives you a matte surface that shows fewer fingerprints and a more classic feel on springs.

For anyone switching from a regular cube to their first magnetic one, and for parents looking for a good yet affordable 3x3 for their child. It also works well as a backup cube or for learning new algorithms. Speedcubers looking for an advanced setup with core magnets will be better off with the Pioneer UV version or a higher-end model.
