The QiYi Megaminx + Pyraminx + Skewb + Ivy Cube set gives you four non-cubic puzzles in one box. It's made for cubers who can already solve cube-shaped puzzles like the 2x2, 3x3 or 4x4 and want to try different shapes and mechanisms. Instead of buying each puzzle separately, you get four different puzzles at once, plus a booklet with solving instructions.

What's in the set

1. QiYi Ivy Cube: a cube that turns around its corners and has only a few pieces. It's the quickest of the four to learn, so it's a good one to start with.
2. QiYi QiMing Pyraminx: a tetrahedron with small tips that turn independently. The basic method is short, and once you've got it down, a solve takes just a few seconds.
3. QiYi QiCheng Skewb: a cube with diagonal cuts, so every move shifts half of the puzzle. It looks difficult, but it needs only a few algorithms.
4. QiYi Megaminx (QiZheng S): a dodecahedron with 12 pentagonal faces. You solve it much like a 3x3, it just takes longer, which makes it the most time-consuming puzzle in the set.

Why a set of non-cubic puzzles

Megaminx, Pyraminx and Skewb are official WCA events. Once you've mastered these puzzles, you can compete in more events at competitions. The Ivy Cube isn't a WCA event, but it's a fun, simple puzzle and a great introduction to corner-turning puzzles. Each of the four puzzles teaches you a different way of thinking about moves, and knowing the 3x3 helps especially with the Megaminx.

All the puzzles in the set are budget QiYi models. They're perfectly good for getting started with new events. If one of the events really draws you in, you can later buy a more advanced version of that puzzle separately, e.g. a magnetic one.

Colour options

The set is available in two versions: Black (black body with stickers) and Stickerless Bright (coloured plastic without stickers, in bright colours).

Who is it for?

For cubers who can already solve the 3x3 and want to discover more puzzles. The set also makes a great gift for a child or teenager who has already got the hang of their first cubes. The instruction booklet helps you get started without searching for tutorials online.
