Big cubes are rarely cheap, and magnetic 6x6 cubes even less so. The QiYi Warrior 6x6 Magnetic UV is a budget cube that users often say turns surprisingly close to more expensive models. It has 192 magnets in two zones and a glossy UV coating. We stock it in the stickerless bright version. How it turns

Reviews repeatedly mention that the turning is light and "airy", and that the cube holds its shape and does not deform during a solve. On a 6x6, that is a big advantage. The magnets help pull the layers into position, so it is easier to avoid misaligned slices. Lockups are rare. Opinions on corner cutting are divided: some people find it good, while others say it is not a strong point and that loosening the cube does not change much. One person also complained that the cube arrives heavily lubed and feels a bit slippery for the first few solves.

The Magnetic version has the same magnets as this one, but with a matte frosted surface and medium grip. The Magnetic UV has a glossy UV coating that grips your fingers better and is more scratch-resistant. The top of the range is the PiCube Core-Magnetic + UV version, which has additional magnets in the core.

Who is it for?

For someone who can already solve a 4x4 or 5x5 and wants to start with 6x6 without spending a lot. For a speedcuber, it can be a sensible main, although if corner cutting matters most to you, keep in mind that opinions on it are mixed. A tip for parents buying a gift: a 6x6 only makes sense once your child can comfortably solve a 3x3.
